The real timeline
Faster is possible, but it always costs something
Every day taken out of a build removes a fitting or a stage of hand work. Here is what each timeline actually buys.
2 DAYS
Express
Fused front, machine buttonholes, one fitting. This is made to measure, a step below full bespoke. Fine for linen shirts and chinos, and for returning customers whose pattern we already have.
3 DAYS
Rush
You get one fitting here, where a slower build gets two, so the fit is good but not quite as precise, and any error at that fitting ships with the suit. We tell you that before you order.
5 DAYS
Standard bespoke
A basted fitting to set the shoulders and chest, a forward fitting to polish. Half or full canvas. The build most visitors choose, and the one we recommend.
7 DAYS
Hand finished
Full canvas stitched by hand, hand-worked buttonholes, up to three fittings. The canvas alone takes a skilled finisher several hours.
A standard build, day by day
What happens while you are at the beach
- 01
Consultation
About an hour. We talk through what you want, walk the cloth, take your measurements and finish with a written quote.
- 02
Cutting and basting
Your pattern is drafted and the cloth is cut, then loosely tacked together so it can be tried on and taken apart again.
- 03
First fitting
30 to 45 minutes in an unfinished suit. Shoulder balance, chest and length are pinned. This is the fitting that cannot be skipped.
- 04
The rebuild
The suit comes apart, the cloth is re-cut where the pins say, and the canvas, lining and buttons go in. Most of the real labour happens here.
- 05
Final fitting and collection
Millimetre adjustments to sleeves and trouser break, and you leave with the suit in a garment bag.
Questions
What people ask before they book a flight
Can I really get a suit made in Phuket in 3 days?
Yes, with compromises: one fitting, a fused front and machine buttonholes. It is below a five day build and above anything off the rack.
What is the minimum time I need in Patong?
Three days is the practical minimum for a suit. Five is the sweet spot. Seven gives you a hand finished build. The planner above works it out from your own dates.
Can you make a suit overnight?
No. A suit that fits takes at least two fittings. If a shop promises real bespoke overnight, what you are getting is not really bespoke.
I have been here before. Is it faster?
Yes. With your pattern on file you choose the cloth, we cut to your proven measurements, and a fitting and collection within two days is realistic at full quality.
What if I miss a fitting?
Message us as early as you can on WhatsApp and we will usually fit you in the same day. If you miss the last one because you are flying, we finish to our best estimate and adjust on your next visit.
