Our shop sits at 237/7 Patong OTOP Shopping Paradise on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road, the main road that runs parallel to Patong Beach. If you are staying anywhere in central Patong you can walk here in under ten minutes, and most of the larger hotels are a short tuk-tuk ride away.
OTOP Shopping Paradise is an air-conditioned indoor market, so you are not standing in the heat while you choose fabric. Look for the New David Jone Fashion frontage with the mannequins in the window, we are on the ground floor, on your right as you come in from the Rat-U-Thit side.
You do not need an appointment to walk in. If you would rather have a fixed time with a specific tailor, book an appointment and we will have your fabric options ready before you arrive.
What happens when you walk in
A first visit takes as long as you want it to. If you already know what you are after, you can be measured and on your way in minutes. If you do not, this is the moment to walk the shelves, handle the cloth and ask what each fabric does in this heat and what it costs. Nothing is charged until you decide to order.
1. We talk before we measure
What is the garment for, a wedding, a boardroom, a holiday? Where will you wear it, and in what climate? That conversation decides the fabric weight and the cut long before the tape measure comes out.
2. You handle the cloth
A wide selection of suiting and shirting fabrics is on the shelves, and you are welcome to pull them out, drape them and see them in daylight. We will tell you honestly which ones survive Phuket humidity and which ones do not.
3. Measurements are taken and kept
We record your measurements and keep them on file. That means your next order, whether you are back in Patong or at home on the other side of the world, starts from a pattern that already fits you.
4. As many fittings as it takes
Some garments are right after one fitting; others need several. We keep going until it hangs correctly, and we will come to your hotel for the fittings if that is easier than coming back to the shop.
