Why 72 hours is doable (just barely)
Most first-time bespoke takes five days because it uses two fittings with 48 hours between them. A 72-hour build compresses this: day-1 consultation and measurement, day-2 morning first fitting, day-2 evening/day-3 morning second fitting, day-3 afternoon pickup.
This requires:
- Day-1 arrival by 14:00 at the latest, so consultation fits before shop close.
- Commitment to the schedule, you show up when we say you show up.
- Acceptance of limited buffer, if something at fitting reveals a major problem, re-cut is possible but tight.
- Flexibility on fabric, if you want a specific rare cloth, availability might slip the timeline.
With those constraints understood, we regularly deliver proper 72-hour suits.
The 72-hour schedule
Day 1, arrival and consultation
14:00-17:00: Land, settle in hotel, walk to shop. Allow taxi time from airport (~90 minutes to Patong).
17:00-18:30: 90-minute consultation at the shop. Fabric selection, styling decisions, measurements. 50% deposit paid.
Evening: You’re free. Your cloth is being cut that night or first thing day 2 morning.
Day 2, first fitting and business time
11:00-12:00: First fitting on basted suit. Adjustments marked and pinned.
12:00-17:00: You’re free. Beach, meetings (if you’ve scheduled conference calls from Phuket), lunch with colleagues.
17:00-18:00: We complete the re-cut and major assembly. Buttons, lining, near-final construction.
Evening: Second fitting at 18:00-18:30 on the near-complete suit. Final adjustments confirmed.
Overnight: Final hand-finishing, buttonholes, pressing, detail work.
Day 3, pickup and departure
11:00-12:00: Pickup. Final walk-around check, garment bag packed.
12:00+: Depart Phuket for next destination or home. Suit is in your carry-on or checked luggage.
What’s compromised vs a 5-day build
Honestly:
- One less fitting. The second fitting on day 2 evening is the final polish; there’s no third fitting as buffer.
- Less room for major re-cuts. If day 2 morning reveals a significant shoulder issue, we have 12 hours to rebuild, possible but tight.
- Canvassing choice limited. Full-canvas construction is still achievable in 72 hours but requires our best finisher on the clock, check availability when you book. Half-canvas is the safer default for rush builds.
- Hand-finished buttonholes optional. Possible in 72 hours but add tension to the schedule. Machine buttonholes save 3 hours of hand labour that gets us to completion with more buffer.
Not compromised:
- Fabric quality, you still choose from the full range.
- Basic fit, the basted fitting catches major silhouette issues and we correct them.
- Construction quality, half-canvas and proper seams regardless of timeline.
Fabric picks optimised for 72-hour turnaround
Some fabrics cut and assemble faster than others. For rush builds, these work best:
- Smooth-weave Italian Super 120s, straightforward cut, no difficult pattern matching.
- Thai mill wools, slightly faster pressing characteristics, available same-day.
- Linen-wool blends, workable, though wrinkle recovery matters more on rush builds.
Slower fabrics to consider for longer trips:
- Checked patterns, pattern matching at seams adds cutting time.
- Heavy mohair blends, more difficult to press, more careful handling.
- Rare imported English cloth, need to confirm in-stock availability.
Business traveler specifics
Three logistical tips from customers who regularly do this:
1. Fly in on Friday afternoon, fly out Monday morning
Maximises the 3-day window around a weekend. You lose a Saturday meeting (if you had one) but gain 72 hours of production time.
2. Use Phuket as your rest window, not your sightseeing window
Three days booked for tailoring around other business works differently than three days with beach days planned. Book your afternoons flexible so you can accommodate shop visits when asked.
3. Stay at a hotel within 15 minutes of our shop
You’ll be walking to the shop 3-4 times in 72 hours. A 25-minute taxi each way wastes time and energy. Accommodation within Patong or very close to it is worth the slight premium.

Within 10 minutes’ walk of our shop:

Repeat business travelers, the easy path
If you’ve already been fitted at our shop once, subsequent 72-hour visits are dramatically easier:
- Day 1: Land, arrive at shop (even in the evening), approve fabric via video call if pre-selected, minimal measurement re-check.
- Day 2: Single fitting (not two) because we already know your pattern.
- Day 3: Pickup.
Most of our repeat business-traveler customers now fly in, stop at the shop briefly, spend their Phuket days working from a hotel balcony, and pick up their suit before flying out. The shop visit becomes a 30-minute errand, not a trip feature.
Remote ordering for returning business travelers
For customers who can’t even do 72 hours, we offer full remote ordering. You WhatsApp us updated measurements, we confirm fabric via video call, we ship to your next business destination.
Turnaround: 10-14 days including international shipping. No shop visit required. Fits within the schedule of even the most compressed executive calendar.
Pricing unchanged for rush
We don’t charge a rush fee for 72-hour builds. The same tier prices apply. What we ask is:
- Firm commitment to the schedule (no cancelling day-2 fitting).
- Flexibility on fabric if rare options need slightly longer.
- Understanding that one re-cut is possible, but a second would push to 4 days.
What happens if the schedule breaks
Real-world business travel disruptions:
- Delayed flight on day 1: WhatsApp us. We’ll accept day-1 consultation up to 20:00, and shift everything else 12 hours.
- Unexpected meeting during day 2 fitting: We re-slot same-day if possible. If not, we move to day-3 morning fitting + day-3 afternoon pickup, a tighter day 3 but still possible.
- Flight out pushed forward: We’ll complete what’s possible in remaining time. Worst case, we ship the finished suit to your next destination.
