1. Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road (the main spine)

This is the single most important street for tailor shopping in Patong. Runs north-south one block inland from the beach, parallel to Thaweewong Road. Every serious tailor in Patong has a shop on or near this road.

2. Bangla Road itself

Bangla is the famous nightlife strip. A few tailor shops exist along its length, particularly near the top end where it meets Rat-U-Thit. Be cautious, many Bangla tailors rely heavily on hotel-tout referrals and have newer leases. Not all are bad, but the tourist-trap risk is highest here.

What to look for: Shops with genuine review histories, not one with 40 five-star reviews all from the last 60 days.

3. Soi Post Office (Soi Bangla 1)

4. Soi Kebsap & Soi Saen Sabai

5. Jungceylon Mall (commercial tailor presence)

First shop (11:00): Walk in, ask to see the workshop, get a written quote on your chosen fabric. Don’t commit.
Second shop (11:00): Same questions. Compare pricing and fabric tier structure.
Third shop (12:00): Same again. By now you have a calibrated sense of market prices and quality variation.
Lunch and decide (12:30): At a cafe, compare the three written quotes and pick the shop where the answers felt most specific.
